Brisbane MarTech Spotlight: A Night of Ideas, Innovation, and AI

Last week, Dataweavers kicked off our new MarTech Spotlight series in style at Brisbane’s stunning Fiume Bar, Howard Smith Wharves. Proudly sponsored by Triggerfish and UrTech, and with drinks flowing, canapés circulating, and the Brisbane River as a backdrop, it was the perfect setting to dive into some exciting conversations about marketing and AI.

A Great Crowd and an Even Better Vibe

We brought together some of Brisbane’s best and brightest from the MarTech scene for an evening of connection and inspiration. The idea? Share real-world insights, swap ideas, and spark collaborations, all while enjoying some seriously good food.

Our CRO opened the night, setting the tone with Dataweavers’ vision: making complex technology work seamlessly so marketers can focus on what they do best—being creative and driving results.

Star of the Show: Brie Manley’s AI Story

The highlight of the night was a talk from Brie Manley, Senior Digital Marketing Specialist at BlueCare. With AI shaking up the marketing world, Brie shared how her small but mighty team has been using it to punch well above their weight.

Tackling the Challenges: It’s not all smooth sailing with AI. Brie gave a refreshingly honest look at the hurdles her team faced and shared how they’ve navigated the tricky bits of early adoption.

Her advice hit home, leaving the room buzzing with ideas on how to start (or level up) with AI.

Drinks, Chats, and Big Ideas

After the presentations, it was time to mingle. The room was alive with conversations about scaling AI, swapping tips, and even brainstorming collaborations. The Dataweavers team was out and about too, answering questions and sharing the latest on Sitecore Stream.

Why This Night Mattered

Sure, AI and tech were big topics—but this event was about more than that. It was about community. We believe the best ideas happen when you bring passionate people together, and the energy in the room proved it.

As Brie said during her talk, “AI is just a tool—it’s the people using it that make the magic happen.”
